It may feel like summer has only just begun but party season is only a few months away! Life can be extremely busy without the added pressure of organising a fantastic event. However you plan to celebrate in 2017, our event managers share their top tips for party planning at Iscoyd Park.
Choose the type of party you want
The purpose of your event will largely dictate the type of party you want, as will the guestlist. From an intimate gathering of 10 people to a party of 200, Iscoyd Park can cater for all celebrations. This is your venue, your home from home and your place to party! Our gardens can be enjoyed in both summer and winter as our glass-fronted Permanent Marquee offers spectacular views. Perfect for larger gatherings, it has hard-wood flooring, heating and atmospheric lighting. If you are looking for a venue where you can easily provide a sit-down meal for more than 100 people, our marquee is perfect. It is attached to our Garden Room and Bar, which provides a great dancefloor. If you want a smaller gathering our Drawing Room is warm and full of character and history – with classical paintings and family portraits adorning the walls.
Decide on your menu
No party is complete without food and drink. Our food menu is put together by the best chefs using locally sourced, healthy ingredients, supporting the local suppliers wherever we can. If you are interested in creating a more bespoke menu our chefs are always keen to work to a brief to create something spectacular. For something a little different why not try our very own Iscoyd Park champagne and chocolates? Meanwhile our Bar Manager Jamie Stephenson is five times World Cocktail Champion. He will help you create your own special cocktail with which to surprise and delight your guests.
Beyond the capabilities of any city venue, at Iscoyd you’ll be able to make use of the ample space and the breadth of activities you can do on site. From clay pigeon shooting to orienteering, assault courses to zorbing, we work alongside trusted outdoor event organisers, Original Outdoors to organise team building style events or challenging, competitive games for you and your team to enjoy following a hard morning’s work. Beyond the estate, there is beautiful countryside for walks and cycling and for those eager for a bigger challenge, we can arrange trips to Snowdonia from Iscoyd.
The quietness of the countryside makes Iscoyd the perfect place to relax and unwind. Throughout the house we have comfortable chairs and sofas, lovely paintings, wooden floors, books and magazines all for your private use. The Little Drawing Room with its own library, TV, music system and fireplace is definitely the most relaxing room in the house. You might also want to look into booking treatments at our Secret Spa.
Iscoyd Park is a beautiful venue based in Shropshire, North Wales, available for exclusive private hire for weddings and events.
