Your wedding day will be one of the most eventful days of your life. It’s important to spend your first night together as a married couple somewhere where you feel relaxed and at home. Where better than a stones throw from where you have just shared your wedding day together, surrounded by your closest friends and family? Our award-winning wedding accommodation sleeps up to 36 people and includes en-suite bedrooms, stables and cottages.
Bedrooms in the house
There are nine bedrooms situated in the house, all featuring the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury bath products, bathrobes, selection of teas, beautiful scents and anything else we can think of to make you feel spoiled and relaxed! Those who stay in the house also have use of the very cosy Little Drawing Room where there is a library of books, DVDs and CDs, a music system and TV, and have breakfast in The Morning Room. If you want to go the extra mile for your guests you could even order one of our Luxury Welcome Boxes to greet them in their room when they arrive.
The key room in the house, The Bridal Suite, has been designed so that it is a spacious and calming room in which to get ready but also a romantic environment to spend your wedding night. There is a careful blend of exquisite antique furniture (including a very comfortable four poster bed) and contemporary fabrics and design. The bathroom is as luxurious as the bedroom with a huge roll top bath, amazing shower and even a chandelier!
Each of the rooms have individual features that your guests will love and been named accordingly. For example, The Green Room overlooks the park and cricket pitch and is decorated with beautiful fabrics. Meanwhile The Clock Room is situated on the Library Landing and has lovely views out over the coach house and the clock tower to the beautiful landscape beyond. This panelled bedroom is one of the larger bedrooms in the house. The wonderful oak floors, beautiful restored bath and basin and deep rich colour gives this room a wonderful, cosy atmosphere.
Stables and cottages
Seconds from the main house are the beautifully renovated stable rooms and Laundry Cottage, which between them can sleep up to 12 adults and – if required – a few children. The two 5 star stable rooms are let on a B&B basis. Those staying here will either have breakfast with you in the house or a continental style breakfast in their rooms. Each has under-floor heating, en-suite bathrooms, sofas, desks, wifi, TVs, fridges, tea and coffee-making facilities, radios and extremely comfortable beds.
The Laundry Cottage is next door to the stable rooms. Full of character, the cottage is let on a self-catering basis, although the occupants have the option of joining you for breakfast if you wish. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is a large sitting room with an enormous fireplace and sofa bed meaning it can accommodate eight adults. The bedrooms are large enough to have put-up beds for children if required. There is a well equipped kitchen and good sized garden with the possibility of a BBQ if wanted.
The Wolvesacre Mill Cottage is a five-minute drive from the main house. Let on a self-catering basis it is on the edge of the estate in an idyllic setting, nestled in a beautiful valley and overlooking a brook which is the border between England and Wales. It has four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room, dining room, kitchen and garden.
